The Council is a highly professional 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization
governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with written Articles of Incorporation.
The Board is a volunteer group committed to the guidance of the Council and promotion
of healthcare safety. Since its founding in 1964, the WSHSC has been highly dependent upon its membership which represents most hospitals, other healthcare facilities, and individuals
dedicated to safety and the environment of care. Many of today’s Washington healthcare
leaders have been members of the WSHSC since its inception.
